You seen them before. Reality shows. They are obnoxious, pointless, and wasteful. You cringe when you see a new reality show pop up from some loaded executive producer. Who watches this stuff? I know you’re tired of it.
You want fresh, you want interesting, you want cheap, you want Growing Up Grunwald. Get ready for an action packed adventure that will make you re-think moving back in with your parents!
Picture this: mom and dad have been divorced for five years and then decide to make up and get remarried (I know a dream come true!), 4 crazy, loud kids, 2 whacked out dogs, intrusive neighbors, a front yard that looks like a parking lot, true friends, and the neighborhood you grew up in! Stay Tuned for Growing Up Grunwald, because life isn’t like it is in the movies!

Something happened tonight that made me come to a realization. Once you do something, once you make a decision, once you make a move it’s over, it can’t be changed.
You can’t say, “Well we shoulda…”
It’s over, it can’t be taken back, what’s done is done.
If you say something that you aren’t going to mean, you probably shouldn’t say it. I guess the biggest problem is we don’t have the time to think what could happen. We don’t always know how severe the consequences can be. We don’t know what our actions will breed.
People always say hindsight is 20/20. What is foresight? Chopped Liver?
Is there a solution?
You can’t recover a stone after is thrown.
For the record, I should of never thrown that stone, I should of never got out of the car, I should of never let my guard down.
All those actions have set these events into motion, and I can’t take any of them back. I can only say I am sorry they happened, and that isn’t worth very much anyway. It is just an act of regret, and regret is a disease that kills hope, and well hope… that is all we really have.

I just want to say Flickr.com is a pretty cool site. My friend at work, Jessica turned me onto the site last week and it is amazing. It’s a photo posting website where immature photographers can post their pictures. You’ll be surprised at what you find.
Check it out.

I am compiling a list of quotes that crack me up from my 10-year-old brother. I hope they make you laugh too. I will add them as he comes up with them.
“What if your husband hates dancing? Because you’re a pretty freaky dancer.”
“Your throat is hurting? I’ll tell you what you should do- slap it.” -Russ giving a remedy to Tryna on how to cure a sore throat.
“You’ll either get married to a pirate or an elephant rider, not sure which one.”
“My head is hurting! It feels like 400 hammers!”
“I’d rather watch a hog give birth, then watch you dance!” – said while watching my little sister, Carla get down to the Jonas Brothers
“You’re a very pushy friend!”- while doing an improv skit with Carla about friendship
“So what do you want to talk about?” – Russ asked me this whenever he called me when I was away at school.
“Well the doctor told me I have no puberty in me, so I’ll be about seven feet tall!” -said after a visit to the doctor.
“I should of written my will!!”- exclaimed because his stomach was hurting so bad he thought he would die.

These are the last paragraphs I will write as a college student (that will be graded at least). It’s bittersweet really.
When I first came to college at Warner, I could never picture myself graduating though I knew that was the goal. I just knew I had to do well and survive. I don’t know how “well” I did, but I did survive. Along with surviving I’ve changed, mostly in good ways.
I’ve become too independent for my own good. I’ve acquired large amounts of debt. I’ve become more secure and stable in my faith. I’ve made friends that will last forever. I’ve developed the worst eating habits. I’ve learned from some of the wisest people. I’ve been to many funerals, and even more more weddings. One of my best friends had a beautiful baby boy. So much has happened I wonder if home will want me back, because I am not the same. I don’t know if I’ll fit in there like I use to so well.
But there are two pieces of advice that I’ve heard. One is something that I heard before I came here and I stand on it until this day. “It is not your business to succeed , but to do what is right, when you have done so the rest lies with God.” (C.S. Lewis) I’ve been thinking about these words lately and just the other day I heard something in a song. “…every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end.” (Semisonic “Closing Time”) I’ve heard this song a million times, but that last line stuck with me. This is the end, but really it’s the beginning of everything. Am I scared? Yeah! Am I sure? Uh no! But I am sticking to the fact that I don’t have to measure up to the world’s idea of success. And this ending is really a new beginning. It’s a better way to look at things.
Whether or not I’m ready, this is happening so I have to pick up my feet. I don’t have advice for you, so take what was given to me. When you get here, to this place I’m in, you might be surprised by how surreal it feels. And if you’ve already been here, you know it’s not a big deal and that I can’t make excuses anymore. Even if I don’t know how to do anything but be a college student. I can still say this. I did my best. I’m finished, and I plan to start again, somewhere new, doing something else, and giving it my all.
Thanks Warner, for being a place where I could grow, learn, and be myself. You may not be perfect, but neither am I.

I have to admit I am a little bit of an iTunes fanatic. I check the page every day, even though I know they update it once a week. Who doesn’t like adding new music to their library? Anyway, here are five songs you should listen to today, or at least by tomorrow. It doesn’t matter what type of music you like, but it could matter what stage of life you are in. Say graduating college?
1. “What a Feeling” – Peter Luts & Dominico
2. “Dead and Gone” – T.I. featuring Justin Timberlake
3. “I Won’t Back Down” -Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
4. “Before the Worst” – The Script
5.”Haight Street” – Anberlin
And if you get bored with those listen to an all- time favorite:
“One More Time” -Daft Punk
Enjoy!

You know those videos that people put on YouTube and really don’t make any sense, the ones where you don’t know the people in the video so the video just looks like a bunch of idiots acting sketch. Well my friend you have just stumbled across one of those videos! Looks like these yo yos just got back from Savannah, GA and are wishing they could head back. They are really bad at lip syncing, and have questionable dance moves. It can’t get worse than this, but you should watch it anyway!

Reading the newspaper serves two purposes for people. They get the news and they feel well- informed. College students usually don’t receive a newspaper subscription. There prescription for this problem: usatoday.com. USA Today’s website does a effective job of writing news, writing well, and writing in a style that most people can understand and relate to.
I have the USA Today application on my iPhone so when I have a few minutes I can pull up recent news and quickly scan through articles. The articles they post are relevant and informative. Readers don’t have to spend much time scrolling through pages of articles to find what they are looking for.
The website is set up with categories at the top marked in a different color. It’s extremely easy to navigate and even easier to post articles on your social networking page. The home page isn’t always loaded with obnoxious advertisements. The pictures are chosen well, the top headlines are clearly what you are looking for.
Usatoday.com is an effective news website because they fulfill the purposes of why people seek news in the first place. College students should take advantage of this excellence source of news.
